چکیده
The aim of this study was to analyze the spinal stability and safety after posterior fusion with various fixation segments screw types in patients an osteoporotic thoracolumbar burst fracture based on finite element analysis (FEA). To realize vertebral conditions T12, seven cases Young’s modulus, namely 0%, 1%, 5%, 10%, 25%, 50%, 100% for bones under intact were considered. Four T12 (fixed T11-L1, T10-T11-L1, T11-L1-L2, T10-T11-L1-L2) applied model. following considered: pedicle (PS) cortical (CS). Using FEA, four motions performed fixed spine, stress screw, peri-implant bone (PIB), intervertebral disc (IVD) range motion (ROM) calculated. lowest ROM calculated corresponded T10-T11-L1-L2 model, while closest situation achieved T11-L1-L2 model using PS. Effects of percutaneous kyphoplasty combined with pedicle screw fixation on aged osteoporotic thoracolumbar burst fracture
This study aimed to explore the clinical effects of percutaneous kyphoplasty combined with pedicle screw fixation on aged osteoporotic thoracolumbar burst fracture. 160 patients with aged osteoporotic thoracolumbar burst fracture treated at our hospital during January 2012 and January 2015 were enrolled. According to the digital meter method, they were randomly divided into two groups, the obse...
متن کاملFinite Element Study of the Mechanical Response in Spinal Cord during the Thoracolumbar Burst Fracture
BACKGROUND The mechanical response of the spinal cord during burst fracture was seldom quantitatively addressed and only few studies look into the internal strain of the white and grey matters within the spinal cord during thoracolumbar burst fracture (TLBF). The aim of the study is to investigate the mechanical response of the spinal cord during TLBF and correlate the percent canal compromise ...
متن کاملPosterior pedicle screw fixation with supplemental laminar hook fixation for the treatment of thoracolumbar burst fractures.
Surgical treatment of thoracolumbar burst fractures with posterior short-segment pedicle fixation usually provides excellent initial correction of kyphotic deformity, but a significant amount of correction can be lost afterwards. This study evaluates the clinical relevance of the short-segment pedicle fixation supplemented by laminar hooks (2HS-1SH) construct in the surgical treatment of thorac...
متن کاملThe treatment of osteoporotic thoracolumbar severe burst fractures with short pedicle screw fixation and vertebroplasty.
BACKGROUND To investigate the clinical and radiological results of short pedicle screw fixation and vertebroplasty in osteoporotic thoracolumbar severe burst fractures. METHODS From September 2006 to August 2010, 19 consecutive patients sustained osteoporotic thoracolumbar severe burst fractures with or without neurologic deficit and were included in this prospective study. All patients under...
